Our modern dance section offers competitors an opportunity to express themselves in multiple styles of dance including Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop.  
 
Competitors up to the age of 21 travel from around New Zealand to compete for prestigious awards such as the Young Performer of the Year Nominations, the Major Modern Award and tuition scholarships.

I have been involved in dance since the age of four, as a student, a teacher, a choreographer and a competitor in modern troupe competitions. 
 
 I have been privileged to be involved in the running of local dance competitions for approximately 15 years firstly in Auckland and now in Tauranga where I have been living for seven years .
 
I am an enthusiastic supporter of all performing arts and enjoy watching the development of students at all levels.
